Every Confirmed Pokémon in Pokémon Winds & Waves

How many Pokémon are confirmed for Winds & Waves?

Five are officially named: the starters Browt, Pombon and Gecqua, and the special Pikachu pair Mr. Windychu and Ms. Wavychu. Several more species appear in the reveal trailer without names — we list those as sightings, not confirmations. Claims of a “confirmed Pokédex of 54” circulating online come from a content farm with no official source.

Officially named Pokémon

Pokémon	Type	Category	Ability	Source
Browt	Grass	Bean Chick Pokémon	Overgrow	Official site
Pombon	Fire	Puppy Pokémon	Blaze	Official site
Gecqua	Water	Water Gecko Pokémon	Torrent	Official site
Mr. Windychu	Electric	Special Pikachu (Winds)	—	Official site
Ms. Wavychu	Electric	Special Pikachu (Waves)	—	Official site

Pikachu itself is obviously present — Windychu and Wavychu are Pikachu, and regular Pikachu appears throughout the trailer and the storybook opening.

Unnamed trailer sightings

The footage shows recognizable-but-unnamed species: a whale-like Pokémon strongly resembling Wailord breaching offshore, caterpillar- and mantis-like Pokémon in a forest scene, balloon-like Pokémon drifting above a jungle path, a lily-pad species in a mangrove swamp, and ghost-like Pokémon at a hut at night. Until an official name or Pokédex entry appears, these stay on the sightings list — frame references in the trailer breakdown.

What about returning Pokémon?

No full roster has been published, and no regional Pokédex size has been announced — the “300–400” figure circulating is unattributed speculation. As official reveals land (a second trailer, a Presents segment, site updates), this page becomes the canonical confirmed-species ledger. For the people side of the reveal, see main characters.
